We had the closing this afternoon, after MONTHS of shillyshallying with the bank and attorneys and the insurance people. We now own the house where we've been living for the last three-odd years.

At lunch after, Tim sat staring at me and saying, "We own a house!" over and over. I think it overcame him more than it did me. I just wanted to get it over with so there was one less thing on my plate.

I hope nobody expects us to act like grownups now.
